This necklace features a cloisonné enamel I created from glass enamels. This is an ancient and time consuming process where I create an image with tiny silver wires, and the fill them with glass that is melted in a kiln.
The image in this piece is a dark hand, representing the shadow and spirit of each maker that is left behind in their creations. This is a big and bold colorful statement piece. Maybe it can start conversation about the value and uniqueness in handmade creations, contrasting our world of fast fashion and artificial creation.
