This necklace features a cloisonné enamel I created from glass enamels. This is an ancient and time consuming process where I create an image with tiny silver wires, and then fill them with glass that is melted in a kiln. It is strung on a 19” Carnelian and vintage crystal bead necklace hand knotted on red silk cord.
The image in this piece is a ghostly hand, representing the shadow and spirit of each maker that is left behind in their creations. This is a bold colorful statement piece.
